If you're new to fishing and want to take your game from shore to shore, now is the time to add TACO marine Outrigger to your boat. We have two great beginner's sport fishing tackle systems to help you get started.
Striker Base Gunnel Mount
Not everyone can, or wants to, run rigs from the top of the boat, and if you're new to the sport of offshore fishing, adding a pair of Striker Base Gunnel Mounts might be a good starting point. This mount mounts to your boat gun and the arm can be removed from the base, providing convenient storage space when not trolling.
Compared to traditional top-mounted pedestal systems, Striker Base Gunnel Mounts are less expensive and will still provide you with a more effective trolling experience. Keep in mind that pedestal posts are also required once the striker bases are installed. Fortunately, for beginners in the sport of sea fishing, our aluminum remote jacks fit perfectly into these fixtures and won't break the bank.
We offer the Striker Base Gunnel Mount for both 1-1/8" and 1-1/2" diameter posts at lowest prices. These fixtures can also be installed individually or in pairs from CKW Store.
Grand Slam 170 Outrigger Mount
For beginner and intermediate offshore fishing enthusiasts with boats 24 inches or less with a top, the GS-170 Outrigger Rack is a great option for an outrigger system.
While the GS-170 only works with 1-1/8-inch diameter extended poles, this smaller but powerful fixture adds a whopping 30 feet of fishing area. Although the GS-170 body does not mount through the boat top, bolts do. It is also recommended to install a backing plate on the underside of the boat top for additional strength.
The GS-170 features a locking lever, which is used to lock the outside rotation angle. Where the arm meets the body, you'll find the Sure-Grip handle, which enables anglers to adjust the lift every 18 degrees and lock the position into place.
This mount is sold in pairs but is also available individually as the GS-170-2 Center Rigger Mount, which is traditionally used to add another line into the water in order to display the lure "back" when fishing offshore.
